If you are an avid tennis fan, you would love this most beautiful historical 50 memorable years of tennis. I was flipping through the pages and viewing the photos of tennis players then and now and thought what a brilliant compilation. Excellent foreword by Serena Williams. Well worth the money.

Huge tennis fan and go to the Open every year. Saw the book prominently displayed on the ESPN set. Couldn't beat the price of a nearly $20 savings on Amazon. Excellent photography. A must have for you tennis fans.

Wow! This books photographic composition and insightful contributions is why I love tennis and the US Open but did notice a number of inaccuracies. On page 16 It was claimed Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi are the only players to meet in three US Open finals which is actually INCORRECT. Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal played each other in the championship match in 2010, 2011 and 2013. On page 69 It was claimed John Newcombe was a US Open winner at Forest Hills in 1967 and 1973 and also won two doubles titles which is actually INCORRECT. The Australian won the mens doubles on three occasions, in 1967, 1971 and 1973. On page 109 It was claimed at the 1986 US Open, Jimmy Connors streak of twelve straight semi final berths was ended by Todd Witsken, who became the lone American to reach the quarter finals which is actually INCORRECT. Todd Witsken failed to reach the quarter finals when he lost to Czechoslovakian Milan Srejber in the fourth round. On page 141 It was claimed in 1994 Andre Agassi defeated five seeded players including Michael Stich in the final to become the first unseeded player to win the US Open which is actually INCORRECT. Australian Fred Stolle was also unseeded in winning the title in 1966. On page 198 It was claimed with their rivalry deadlocked at 3-3 in Grand Slam matches, Andre Agassi and Pete Sampras met for a second time at the US Open in the 1995 final which is actually INCORRECT. Agassi and Sampras had played only four times in Grand Slam matches before the 1995 final. They had previously met at the 1990 US Open, the 1992 French Open, the 1993 Wimbledon championships and at the 1995 Australian Open. On page 221 It was claimed at the 2009 US Open, Kim Clijsters defeated Li Na and then faced Serena Williams in the quarter finals which is actually INCORRECT. Clijsters faced Serena Williams in a 2009 semi final.
